Staff Bio - NATALIE

Natalie Smith first joined us at Sokol in the fall of 2011 as a member of the Senior Women’s class. She had not participated in gymnastics since the mid-1980’s, but now continues to be an active gymnast at Sokol. She competes in all district and national competitions for Sokol Lodge 306. In 2018, she had the pleasure of representing Lodge 306 at the Sokol Slet in Prague, Czech Republic. She became an instructor with us a few years after joining and has been a breath of fresh air in the gym. She has taught Tots, Sokolads, and Sokolettes classes. She has also expanded her coaching skills by working with 2-5 year olds at the Gymnastics and Recreation Center of Oak Park. She has attended many coaching clinics to expand her knowledge as well. Natalie currently holds several positions in Sokol – Treasurer for our Physical Fitness Staff, Audit Committee Chairman for Lodge 306, and Audit Committee member for District L. Stur. Natalie is currently an instructor for our Sokolettes class.
